SVENSKA: Här finns tystnaden och kylan och en annan slags lyx – den att få hugga sin egen ved och hämta sitt eget vatten. Per och Marie, som själva bor på gården, har låtit bygga två mongoliska jurtor vid skogsbrynet här i Vittjärv, strax utanför Boden. Vid sjön femtio meter bort finns ett servicehus med kök, toalett och dusch.
Vi värmer fötterna vid kaminen medan värmen stiger i tältet, kokar tevatten och brer kvällsmackor. På natten får vi smyga upp och lägga ett extra vedträ på elden, men kan också passa på att titta på stjärnorna. När vi öppnar dörren på morgonen är snön täckt med älgspår.
ENGLISH: Here you'll find the silence and the cold, and a different kind of luxury – that of chopping your own wood and fetching your own water. Per and Marie, who themselves live on the farm, have had two Mongolian yurts built at the edge of the forest here in Vittjärv, just outside Boden. Fifty meters away, by the lake, there's a service building with a kitchen, toilet, and shower.
We warm our feet by the stove as the heat rises in the tent, boiling water for tea and spreading evening sandwiches. At night, we sneak up to add an extra log to the fire, but we can also take the opportunity to gaze at the stars. When we open the door in the morning, the snow is covered with moose tracks.
